An SSD in any OS other than Windows 7 is worthless. None of these other operating softwares have TRIM support.

For anyone who wants a powerful and cheap (unlocked) android device, check out the Acer Liquid Metal. It comes with the Acer UI, but you can switch it to vanilla android in the settings.

@Nihilexistentialist: You're a total idiot. WAV and AIFF are UNCOMPRESSED! FLAC on the other hand, IS a compression format. It compresses it at NO loss to quality.

@AaronF75: One of the Nokia E series devices should do it for you. The soon to be announced Nokia E6-00 looks like a direct competitor to this. The Nokia non-touchscreen devices are fantastic. The E72 should even fit your needs as of now. Ovi Maps is FREE and unrivaled.

@TheAxMan: I don't know about that, but Soluto does allow for some drivers to be delayed/removed from boot. Other suggestions is to keep the number of files and icons on the desktop to a minimum and to use the default windows theme+wallpaper.

This is only a proof of concept. I have the froyo version of this and it's unusable.

At least it's better than those God awful, cheap cases for a $800 phone.

The difference between Blu-Ray and DVD on ANY 720p+ (heck even 480p) display is noticeable. It's something called bit rate. Oh and in your logic, special features don't count either.
