I tested the Stadia Demo. The connection speed is the main thing quality wise. On the wired public connection at the Moscone Center, Assassins Creed Odyssey was running at 720p with input lag during dodge rolls.

Haven’t received any games from anyone, though I did treat myself with Persona 5 when it was on sale at the beginning of the month. But I have a long enough backlog that I’m looking at shiny new games with a shrug. (With the exception being KH3, but I already pre-ordered that.)

I go to a college that has a major focus on video games, and while some of the people in the game program are there so they can learn programming and 3D art, others are there because they like playing video games and think being a game designer is easy. I can’t wait to get back from summer break to find the latter…

Grabbed Bayonetta from the Steam Sale, so both me and my roommate will be playing that. I’ll probably squeeze in some Fire Emblem Awakening. I’ve slowly been getting through that game.

So this had me go from curious, to confused, back to curious to “Oh Ray Chase is voicing Steak? Okay, count me in.”

Apparently I’m the weirdo who doesn’t spend a ton of money on Steam Sales. Like...It feels easy to not go crazy. Know what you want. If you get a game over $15, then you have to want it. Steam Sales are actually how I try games I’ve heard were good but never had a chance to bother before.
