my first reaction, seeing the promo pic above and the short description: "finally, a YA franchise that deals with lesbian issues. oh wait… nevermind."

i thought janae was meant to be a (closeted) lesbian? when she checks out that couple making out in the locker room, the camera lingers on the womans curves, and later at the party, she turns her head for a passing woman, i think? am i misremembering?

i loved this show so much, and it got me into the x-men comics, which im still reading today. god, the nostalgia. and it even holds up reasonably well, at least compared to my two other favourite cartoons, "captain planet" and "transformers".

anybody remember the legacy virus from the x-men comics? only mutants could contract it, humans were immune. worst metaphor for hiv ever, for exactly the reasons this review states.

i think the article makes good points, but i would say the Tyrell's are still powerful and a force of good, even if they arent quite as "pure" as the Starks. plus, Danaeris, once she finally crosses the sea, as we all know she must at one point.
