That’s how Kiefer Sutherland is to me in MGS:V. He actually is a good fit for Big Boss, I think, but I literally can only hear and picture Jack Baurer whenever he talks. Not his fault, but it’s rough especially considering he’s replacing the voice of a character that already had an established and fan-favorite actor.

If there’s one thing the comparison video illustrates, it’s that talented voice acting can’t elevate god-awful writing.

“Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), for one, deserves every single second on screen that she can get.…”

Seattle fans are indeed the fucking worst—-you cannot have an intelligent conversation about the sport of football with them. They don’t know a first down from a false start but they can damn sure tell you how many decibels registered on the meter at the Clink and whine about the “piped-in crowd noise” in Kansas City.

“I still don’t see how the playcall was so terrible”

Also this.

I’m a Niners fan (thank you for your condolences) and I hate most of Seattle and their fans but I will not stand by for any bashing of Lynch. He’s forever the best. If not for his amazing playing abilities and his hatred of the media than for this.

Evans accountant probably told him "seriously, dude... just keep banking Marvel money & you'll be retired with an island by 45. But if you retire now, you'll need to settle for a small beachfront place in Key West"

Personally, my favorite example is Galaxy Quest. Start in 4:3 for the TV flashback. Expand to 1.85:1 for the first act. Then once the actors get into space for the first time, expand again to 2.35:1.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: “minimalism” is just another manifestation of materialism. The motivations are the same, the only difference is the message...materialists say “I’m better than you because I have more stuff”. Minimalists say “I’m better than you because I’m more humble”. I choose “none of the

Actually, I think your interpretive filter is set to Asshole, as you took my comment in the most hostile manner when it was actually going for short and succinct. But that's all on you. Have a nice day. :)

Thanks! And I enjoy tough questions. Don’t be afraid to ask me anything, I won’t take offense.

I really like these shows, and noticed that a lot of the official reviews are somewhat negative. As a fan of the shows and source material, I like to interject my two cents (or in this case, 11) to offer a different perspective.

I see nothing wrong with cool_breeze’s comments. I actually enjoyed reading it. You are being kind of persnickety. What are you, the kinja police?

This is odd to me as well. I’ve noticed this before, I’m not sure if it’s this poster or other people. I think I’ve noticed it on recaps of The Strain/Agent Carter? If I want to post an episode critique/recap, I’ll do it on my own page. No offence intended to the poster.

I’ve wondered that too. The author invests so much thought and enthusiasm into these, and has developed a following. Posting these comments as stand-alone pieces on O Deck could even lead to being mainpaged. So why not pursue authorship rather than having to sit on these well-considered hot takes until someone else’s

Yeah, I kind of got the same thing when he/she was doing Agent Carter. It’s not bad writing, but it’s the reason Kinja comes with a blog for everyone.

Not really. I went to a school with no Greek life. Douchenozzle behavior by douchecanoes occurred anyway.

Well... he is an ACTOR, not a writer or comic books expert. Give the guy a break.

So... what exactly is wrong with that?
