Question: what is the proper etiquette when the carpool lane is the left-furthest lane? My friend has been honked at as a faster driver tailgates her in the carpool lane, then passes on the right. She is always doing slightly over the speed limit, but it seems to annoy the shit out of some people.

I’ve always thought the physical nature of a semicolon indicates its usage. When I have something I need to say that requires a couple of points, there’s the comma that indicates a continuation of the theme, and the period that indicates the ending of the first thought; vice versa, if you’d rather see it vertically…
