So, one thing to make really crystal clear: Paul goes on about how “nice” people in Japan are and how they “put up” with him. Speaking as a Japanese person, we have very different standards on how we treat people who we find offensive or disgusting.

If you truly believe the “street bit” was fine then you are just as much at fault as he; horrible parenting. Since when has it been acceptable in society to ignore the wishes of everyone else purely for your own amusement? He may not get arrested for this behavior but he’s just being rude to everyone around him.
