Well the rules for white people ARE pretty much as I described. I'm telling you what I've seen in 50 years of living among whites, seeing how they behave, talking about the pressures on myself that I'm aware of (and I'm certain there are plenty I'm not aware of too).
Oh! Then that is actually an interesting difference between how things work for whites and non-whites. The rules for white people are pretty simple: these things can get you in trouble, don't do them and you'll be fine. It works out well 99.9% of the time.
Running red lights when there is clearly no cross-traffic that could hit them. I explicitly stated that the first time; people wait at stop lights even at 3am. They're not running red lights because there's a chance there's a cop they haven't noticed — saving 30 seconds is not worth a $150 ticket. It's not about…
"Criminal activity is not rejected because it's easier for you to get away with."
"The criminal activity part is a lie. It's done on a grander scale, because of bigger access."
"generations of prejudice against black people will not be repaired nor reversed by redirecting your prejudices back at white people"
Well, there are white people who aren't broken and do have enough humility to leave room for other people and their wishes. It's just not a trait that is generally fostered from without.
I have a theory about us white people. Most of us think we're God: not that our powers are infinite of course, but that our desires are almost always legit and worth pursuing. Granted, there are criminal activities that we are conditioned to reject as "too much trouble / not worth the effort", and activities with…
"But mostly I never complain because being an adult is a hundred thousand trillion times better than being someone who is not an adult."
Well Obama did send the Justice Department after several police departments over police misconduct, so there's that. And Obama and the Democrats did fix the economy (except for those states where Republican policies are still hampering recovery), so there's that.
Yeah you do understand that the cake isn't the issue, the precedent it could set is, right?
The libertarians who are fans of state government but not the federal government are, without exception, fans of states' ability to oppress minorities, and are angry that the federal government gets in the way of that.
At a minimum, many libertarians have a problem with Title II, which covers public accommodations. So without Title II blacks would still have all the freedoms of white people, they just couldn't actually buy food or tools or cars if the local white people didn't opt to sell them. And really, isn't the right to deny…
But they DO listen to folks. And the advice they receive is: focus on racial issues more, focus on racial issues less, take a more hostile attitude towards Wall Street, regulate Wall Street but avoid hostility, focus more on private college, focus more on public colleges, stop focusing on colleges at all, and on and…
That's every white grandmother's concept of a nice Jewish doctor.
Man, Peter Capaldi and David Tennant are the best Doctors. So long as the Doctor is a Scottish man, life is good.
Oh hey, it's that young lady from a few episodes of "Doctor Who"!
Very very white Australian woman shot by Minneapolis police:
