I think somewhere along the line WWE convinced itself that people who actually like wrestling are gonna watch no matter what, so there’s no reason to bother catering to them when they could go after the always elusive casual fans. And they’ve been doing a bad job of that too.

WWE Creative: BRAUN IS OUR MOST OVER STAR! We’ve successfully made him a star! People want to see him kick ass! Should we put the title on him!?

It can be said about a lot of businesses, but it really is true here. As long as they can maintain a base of 2-3 million people who will watch the main shows, they’re golden no matter how many fans give up on paying them for anything. And it’s so antithetical to how wrestling promotions always had to stay creative to

Exactly.

...they did slow him down not long after he got really good, didn't they?

I think he means percentage of the revenue or profit WWE is making off the show as a whole.  If they are making $50 million for the show and Fury is taking home $15 million, he is taking home 30% of the revenue/profit (not sure what the $50 million represents in terms of revenue vs profit).  I think that’s what he

Yo! Love you articles - i was at an NXT live event last night, in the Classic old school thriving PNW hub of Portland. Last time I seen pro wrasslin at this venue, it was in the 80's big blue steel cage, British bulldogs vs hart foundation. Funny I don’t remember any other match from that show 30 plus years ago.

Watched WWE for a lot of years. It’s no longer for fans. It’s for stock holders. It's a machine with no soul. I’m pretty understanding, but I would feel extremely gross supporting them. Untrustworthy creative doesn’t help matters.

The worst thing to happen to Braun was that he became a really damn good pro wrestler, and there’s nothing this company loathes more than it’s talent actually being able to put on compelling matches. The second you show you can wrestle consistently good matches is the second the company’s creative figures you can lose

It is truly depressing how few ideas they have. They are literally turning Braun, a legitimate future star, into Big Show part two with identical booking revamped for 2019. Disgusting.

That DX vs. Brothers of Destruction match was so bad, it looked like one of the sad segments from “Beyond the Mat”

“He’s been around a Super Bowl winner” is an incredible slight.

Commenting to yourself is just south of stalking.

As a long time Broncos fan I can safely say: that new episode of The Good Place was pretty good tonight .

The first sentence wasn’t really english so I tuned it up.

I believe he recreated that particular spot at All Out at the Cracker Barrel Brawl (lol). He also took himself out of the match by doing a Coffin Drop onto one of the barrels after Jimmy Havoc got out of the way.

My wife and I have been looking for a spark in the bedroom, and surprisingly it was also Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Spark

I saw Darby Allin jump onto BrodyKing’s back with a skateboard with thumbtacks on the bottom of it at a PWG show and ever since then he has been my son and I love and support him in all of his endeavors.

I’m sure it’s just because of a scheduling conflict. Nothing to see here. No siree. Nothing at all.
