I think it was a big whiplash from S8. I love that idea of the Doctor, but we needed more transition time from cold and removed to punk god. I thought the season opener was wild and great, but the idea of it being his sustained change of heart needed more support. Not to say it wasn't enjoyable.

I can't believe we're getting Class instead of that.

Didn't see it! Saw stills though. Not particularly interested.

I always have to laugh at people upset over Donna, because Jamie! And Zoe! All are horrible, but for me Donna and Ten never even approached Two and Jamie.

I'd love for them to do another Season 17(?) again and just have a random console room made of styrofoam for an entire series.

And where exactly was President Romana?! Not even a mention?

Someone alien, someone non-contemporary, someone maleā€¦

I love the idea that all TARDIS's look like that on the inside and the Doctor just likes changing his backdrops. He picks up color and baubles and big glowy things from the universe.

I liked the idea of the whole "anyone can be the Doctor with shades" bit but I'm SO glad to have the Screwdriver back. It's all shiny and panel-y!

1. Magician's Apprentice
2. Heaven Sent
3. Girl Who Died
4. Hell Bent
5. Z Inversion
6. Girl Who Lived
7. Before the Flood
8. Witch's Familiar
9. Face the Raven
10. Z Invasion
11. Under the Lake
12. Sleep No More

Disappointed by the Tennant episode though. Never Mind the Buzzcocks was a much better showing.

It's on my list! I'm reading the books in order because, I don't know, it's what I do.

When I heard he was gonna do Kilgrave I immediately thought of Secret Smile. "Oh jeez, not this again. He's going to be the worst kind of evil and it will be delightful."

I'm glad he's having a renaissance but I'd honestly still be okay with him leaving after S10. Go out while on top before he potentially trips up again.

I don't remember that? I thought Grace had to use it or something.

I maintain Clara's death would be infinitely more enjoyable set to the Benny Hill theme.

Ah, I get it. I kind of just assumed the dial transported at the same time the Doctor escaped. Otherwise it was in nebulous space, neither here nor there.

I dunno, I really enjoy it when tumblr loses its shit over an episode.

We're in the minority together! I could have used another season/half season of Capaldi's remote, unattached Doctor before he started transitioning to lighter stuff.

That's only ever happened to me with the Seventh Doctor when it was clear the BBC didn't care about the show anymore.
