What bothers me most about it is that lots of the stories would inevitably have slightly different outcomes from her presence, thus eventually changing the entirety of the show up to that point.

There's a section near the beginning where I think it might have been even more potent if it were being sung by Merida. Not that it was bad the way it was. The movie just kinds of lends itself to…. musicalness more than other Pixar films have in the past.

True, but I feel like the movie really IS a Disney movie in Pixar clothing. I don't find anything particularly wrong with that, though.

I don't know why they just didn't make "Brave" a musical. And it borrowed from many, many Disney movies. But it was good.

There were decent parts to it, but there also were a lot of speeches about how "America can do BETTER!" I'll give it another episode or two, but I'm not sure the reviews were horribly off.
