"I'd like to finish with a story.
I had a friend of mine.
In the industry, a stand-up comic who was having some troubles with his preacher character.
And what he said to me was, is that it wasn't working.
The character wasn't comic.
He would go out and do the preacher character and no one would laugh.
Now he had

That was a gem.

I also feel that way as a straight guy. Ray is absolutely one of my favorites, I love him.

The fact Jimmy starts off with "it was exactly how you described it" would sound an awful lot like Jimmy was just making his "crazy" brother feel better about himself to a 3rd party hearing the tape.

Super Snuggles Shoutout!

Fair call, I guess the nature of that series really called for a more overarching story, as opposed to a Monster (villain) of the week approach.

Funny you should say that about Vice, looking back at it 9 out of the 13 had "life threatening situations" (ie gun fire or imminent death from crocodile etc.) Archer is always in peril it seems.

Sterling is a Master Spy Savant, he is incapable of genuine failure.

I agree. It was just shoehorned in the end there as a capper, at the expense of years of character development.

I was disappointed to learn that Martha didn't come up with the having an affair with a married man story on her own in the heat of the moment.

Podcast confirms Elizabeth is indeed "working" her.

I don't know him from anything else so I can't tell if Ben isn't up to the task or the writing itself is letting him down.

Fuuuuuuck, fuck, fuuuck? fuuuccck!

That was a great episode, they just keep dancing on the line of dark and goofy and it really works for me.

I didn't read the situation like Tandy wasn't invited, just that the rest of the gang were back at the house and had some drinks while he was setting up.

You say Chucks story is an "all-too-plausible circumstantial case" but I disagree. Kim's speech about Jimmy's innocence was, out of the two options, the most coherent and likely. Granted we know it's untrue but I think she is completely covered regarding her own involvement.

Jake seems to have to "step up" to get to the portal from the past, others are unlikely to do so randomly.

I have been on a rewatch binge since Garry's death, such a shame the recaps had to end.

I'm still hoping for more.

Hey now!
