You’re assuming the rest of the Seven Kingdoms know that (1) Arya Stark is still alive, and (2) Gendry is the true son of Robert Baratheon. As far as I can tell, Davos (and Bran) are the only people that know both right now.

Without a doubt. The first 20 minutes of this episode were sublime, and remain the most memorable 20 minutes this season produced. I’m not sure whether it succeeds because it focused on the least magical elements of the series, because Lena Headey and company absolutely killed it, or both.
