In Living Color was such a good show, and still mostly holds up today (I think it’s on Hulu if I’m remembering correctly). I was 9 when it first started up, and I just remember every Monday all me and my friends would talk about was that weekend’s ILC episode. That and Simpsons were appointment TV for my crew.

Though, in order to reduce these types of incidents from happening, under different circumstances, you put yourself in a better position if you don’t run and just comply.

Of course it’s the goddamned training. Good training for shit people actually even slightly has the ability to maybe help the shit people be less shit. Shit training for shit people is simply the shit squared that leads to this.

Two things about the Memphis incident, first, they wouldn’t have done that to a white man, second, if the 5 police officers were white, they would have gotten some support from the police union, wouldn't have been fired so quickly, and would definitely not be facing murder charges.

It isn’t training. It’s attitude. If the attitude that killing a person is an acceptable way to deal with a non-lethal situation then they kill the person.

This former black cop is full of shit. There, I said it.

There’s a lot of “I’m not saying...” and “I don’t mean that...” either stated or implied in this article. We are way past discussing what we should be doing better when we interact with the police or whether there is racial bias in the police force (there is). There are no more “bad apples” there’s just a bad

The fact that your “chance” of staying safe is even part of the equation of a police stop says it all. If we are measuring chance when someone is clearly already subdued after being stopped by the police, the “chance” of safety should be 100%. Full stop.

There we go AGAIN!

Except it’s well documented that the cops lie in their reports to suit the outcome.  So yeah, just because the cops said he didn’t comply doesn’t mean he actually didn’t comply.   The blind acceptance of what the police officially say as honest truth is a big reason why we got to this place.  Stop being part of the

Yup. This is the playbook from the police POV.

I’m glad you’re still here with us. May you live long and prosper.

This hurts to read, I was classified into remission for the 2nd time of my life just a week ago. Reading someone who lost their war with it hurts, my 2nd battle with it was .. close.. to put mildly. Statistically I know it’ll probably win the war against me eventually.. but I’m kinda hoping I get taken out by anything

GNU Annie Wersching.

Fuck cancer.

The first thing I saw her in was 24, and she was wonderful. She more than held her own with Sutherland, which is especially impressive given that he’d already inhabited Jack Bauer for six full seasons at that point. It was great to see her pop up in Bosch as well, and she was one of the bright spots in Picard, too.

I scraped some troll off my shoe.

Generally from my limited understanding, an assembly becomes unlawful when ordered to disperse. As far as when it is legal for cops to do so, or what is necessary for a charge of it to stick; not a clue.

This would be where more video would be helpful.  Past clips showed where a single agitator was separate from the protest group, causing destruction in order to give the local PD a reason to declare a riot.

FYI, the Dr. Emilio account posting here is NOT the long-established Kinja account. This imposter account simply uses the name for establishing credentials and then spewing vileness, while also discouraging sane discourse among Kinja posters.

hey fuck you
