Emily is a difficult character just because she spends so much of the film in a coma. I found her mostly endearing (or at least her chemistry with Kumail was endearing) but also frustrating at times - mainly because we see Kumail evolve and deal with her crisis and she doesn't…… soooooo post-coma I was slightly put

I've noticed that the entire cast of Silicon Valley (or at least the main dude ensemble) seem to be super sensitive in real life

Haven't seen Middleditch's stand-up but I've seen him in interviews and he has different kind of anxious energy than Richard Hendricks. Less tech-geek and more theatre-kid which I find to be endearing (but then again I was a theatre major so I'm a bit biased).

I agree. The show could still funny/interesting with a successful Pied Piper.

Yeah…he's turned into one strange looking dude but he is surprisingly hilarious

That would make sense

I don't mind the 'bro vibe' on SV because it's so friggin nerdy. I feel like I could bro-down with the SV dudes….never felt that way about the Entourage d-bags.

I can't envision Alec Berg and Mike Judge having them sleep together at this point. As I posted down above - romance, sexuality, and sentimentality isn't really their style. I felt like Jared actually had potential to be a really great gay character but alas…it wasn't meant to be. It's all good though - I still love

Interesting character analysis of Jared - as Laurie would say 'very astute' though I don't necessarily agree. I feel like his affection for Richard goes beyond platonic at this point. It's very maternal, bordering on romantic. I used to think but not sexual….but now I'm thinking it could be quite sexual. Like I said,

Fucking is the foreplay to pillow-talk

The vulture recap was actually pretty good aside from that faux pas. I consider myself to be the queen of gay/lesbian subtext myself and even I wasn't seeing THAT.

Yeah? That's very interesting. Each to his own I guess. imo Jared could still like the ladies but also be in love with Richard.

Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrriiiiicccccccccccch

Not that I'm aware of. But his comedies are pretty devoid of romance, sexuality, and sentimentality

Not a big shipper either but Jared's crush has gotten so obvious that I felt compelled to hop on the Jarrich-express. Yeah, it's a fairly one-sided dynamic. Though I think Richard does appreciate Jared in his own way. They have a nice, supportive friendship.

From what I've read it seems like a rather sexless world…..

Well…it'd certainly make things more interesting. I'm still inclined to think it was about him being blacklisted

Not to go off on a whole 'thing' (because this just a 30 min comedy show) but it's kind of lame that all these dudes have been confirmed as hetero. There is a lot of good comedy/'shake-up' potential in Jared 'coming out' with his love for Richard. I am a 'jarrich' shipper so in a perfect world Richard would embrace it

That's what I was thinking…although vulture.com begs to differ….so I got confused.

Whoa sooooo…can someone provide some clarity on the ending bit:
