But nice guys always finish first...at least, they usually do. I grew up a lot after my first year and found a nice guy. I still had a ton of growth ahead but therapy and time got me through it. Still, I think these courses are very beneficial in the short and long term.

No, I agree with you for the most part, but I skipped over a lot of my behavior that is too embarrassing to admit. Nothing like cheating but mostly just not living with integrity, being obnoxiously immature to my friends and other BS that a course like this likely would have mitigated somewhat.

Oh, I'm so sorry about your loss. My parents divorced (fairly amicably) but it was in the 70s and no one knew how to help me when I was ten and I didn't know how to ask for help.

Great! It should be started early, IMO.

The kids at his school (Private, Episcopal) are very articulate about their feelings and I have to credit this program for some of that. It incorporates community time (sitting in a circle, rapping about the day), community service, advisories, team-building field trips, workshops on relationships and sexuality,

I could have used this in high school; I was so immature when I went off to college that I did the typical boozing/getting laid schtick and really regret it. My son's school incorporates SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) into their curriculum starting in 1st grade and it is a fantastic program.

Exactly! It just seems so selfish.

Well, she has 13 other kids; might as well put them to work!

And people think that just because a woman can get pregnant means that the pregnancy will go well and that her health and physiology will be OK; any pregnancy at any age is a major issue. Carrying quintuplets at her age is dangerous for her and the fetuses.

The Catholic Church-at least now-doesn't physically hold people against their will, as far as I know.

My dad and I were walking in Hollywood about 25 years ago when a Scientologist approached us. My dad said, "I'm a psychiatrist" and the guy turned on his heels and walked away quickly. I had no idea then that they hated psychiatry but now it's my go-to line if I'm ever approached. Which hasn't happened yet but I'm

ipod and satellite radio. I'm old so on satellite, I go between 1st wave (classic alternative like Duran, Cure, Siouxsie), classic rewind/classic vinyl (which can be very boring), 90s, 80s, 70s and 40s. And normal, jazzy jazz.

Dentists deal with anxious patients all the time; call ahead, explain your situation and ask for options. The more you are aware of the procedure and your choices, the better you will feel. Good Luck from Texas!

Did you grow up in the 70s? We had The Jeffersons, Good Times, What's Happenin', Chico and the Man, just to name four. Then Reagan was elected. I blame Reagan.

Would I be revealing my age if I said that my best friend had a similar reaction when she found out that John Taylor of Duran Duran was dating a supermodel?

If your heart is broken, it means that you are very much alive. The world needs people like you.

The internet was made for many things, like funny animal videos and spreading knowledge of injustices like this. This happened thousands of times before now but we are all much more aware of it.

Figure it out so that I can like you again.

Exactly. (By the way, you had 45 stars and now only one, which I find odd.)

You know what? She will likely go on to have a successful life and he will and up a footnote at best so no matter what degrading crap he spewed her way, she will win. And I hope her movie kicks ass at the box office.
