That's an amazing view.

Mine isn't showing a thing...

Next time I visit, I will do that! That must be from where all the famous across-the-river shots are taken.

Point taken but I love the architecture.

NYC also always has something going on; it's the city that never sleeps. But, if you don't see the appeal of Central Park, the MOMA, the Met, Harlem, Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Center, various cathedrals, excellent restaurants, the UN, or any of the-yes-lovely neighborhoods, I can't help you. It's a fantastic,

I just can't get into it-not rock enough??-but I have a lot of friends who are crazy about it. I met Jimmy in London a couple of years ago, BTW. He was so cool.

When I bought my power washer, it gave me the same feeling, except for the huge waste of water. Love it.

It's an old city-of course it will get dirty over the course of centuries! Every American should visit NYC at least once and you are missing out if you choose to not spend at least a week there. It's safe, the people are friendly and it's freakin' NYC!

It's my favorite, along with II. As a kid, I used to love looking at the spinning cover of III but it's my least favorite Zeppelin album.

My first thought.

Thank you. We absolutely get what we deserve, though many will still blame Obama.

I'm in TX and a friend and I were just saying that only 21 years ago-which isn't that long-we had a female, Democratic governor. You can't tell me that TX has changed that much in 21 years but I guess I'm out of touch...

I left in 1985 to go to school and only get back to visit my sister. My parents are in Sugar Land so you see more golf outfits than anything.

I'd be more shocked to see a guy wearing a cowboy hat and a belt buckle in Houston, to be honest!

I don't even think they really believe in Christianity as much as they do money, winning elections and the free market system. And hating Obama.

Incredibly diverse but the middle powers-that-be can still be cuckoo.

I was at a Houston hospital, waiting for my sister to get out of surgery and started talking to this older man who mentioned he worked in oil. I tried to get out of the conversation, thinking we would come to blows about energy policy, etc., but right at the start the man asked if I knew Al Gore and proceeded to tell

I remember when People for the American Way (founded by Norman Lear) was a force to be reckoned with but they don't seem to hold as much clout or power. They aren't necessarily Christian but I pretty much always agree with their stands on issues.

I don't live in Houston but my family does and they love Annise Parker, as do many Houstonians, considering this is her third term. I've heard nothing but good things and even some moderate conservatives seem to like her a lot.

Oops, that's right. Thankfully, haven't thought about that case in years.
