YES! Thank you! I now remember that it was a pear tree. We don't really have them in TX so when I moved to DC, I was shocked. Shocked!!

I wonder if vouchers are used because cash would imply liability?
THANK YOU. Succinct and absolutely right.
One of the top three moments from that movie.
She has whiskers!!
It is pushed very aggressively here in Austin, starting around 11 years (I have a boy).
Do you have an ipad app that you would recommend? My son is a very innocent 12-year old but I know either his time is coming or that one of his older friends will show him a site.
What's going on with Oregon these days??
I know Beltway 8 very well; it's not an empty highway, it is the "outer" beltway (still closer in than the suburbs) in Houston and it is still very well traveled at all hours. I miswrote my reflex point but you understood what I meant and seems as if we agree on the stupidity of the drivers so let's just leave this…
All I know is there is a plant in the mid-Atlantic that has the same smell. I used to jog around the White House (pre-9/11) and the smell was so strong! It was also during Clinton's presidency, so I giggled more than a grownup should.

My husband is 6'4" and we won't fly without economy plus; he's physically miserable otherwise.
Sergeant Nicholas Angel would have two pens at the ready.
Texas is empty but Houston is not. I just think, "What if an ambulance was racing to take a child to Texas Children's Hospital and got slammed by one of these drivers?". Ugh.
I accidentally deleted many, many work files off a shared drive once; I had no idea what was going on and I was so ashamed.
Well, we did those kinds of projects, as well, so I stand corrected that some kids can play the game but I do think that many teens aren't ready to hold on to the more boring, day to day information. (At least I wasn't!)
YES! How to manage a PC (let's use windows for this example): how/where to save files, what is windows explorer, etc. Great idea!
The problem is that teenagers aren't really ready to retain many of these skills, especially money management skills. Most are still on their parents' payroll for a few more years and frankly, their brains haven't yet developed to take in information about saving for the future, compound interest, etc. Money…
