Agree with all except Jackie (Kennedy).

I see your point but I was raised with plenty of privilege, as was my husband, and we continue to have a good life, which definitely benefits our 11-year old son (private school, good vacations, etc.).

I keep paper copies of receipts (and some contracts) for tax purposes, just in case my laptop, Skydrive, the cloud and Mozy all crash at once.

Sounds great! Did you take a pic?

Oh...hmmm...like the earring in the left ear signifying a gay man years and years ago...

Recently, I have seen young women (I am 46 but I think they were in their early 20s?) here in Austin get their index fingernails painted a complementary color to the other eight nails. Is that a thing, too? It was subtle and didn't look bad.

Word. Buying nail polish is so satisfying. The one color I need to purchase is I Vant to Be a Lone-Star by OPI. It's a beautiful blue/green/silver that I had on my toes two years ago and desperately want again.

Just to throw this out: I recently had a chat with a Disney employee (management, very nice, loved working there) who told me that Disney pays each employee a certain amount of money to keep his/her BMI and BP at reasonable numbers. I live in Austin (liberal mom) and friends from Wisconsin are visiting tonight. The wife is often anti-Texas (I am, too!) but at least we can both rage against our governors together now.

This is why I buy the massive boxes. I refuse to run out of tampons or toilet paper.

haha! My dog is flipping out, trying to figure out where the sound is coming from. Sweet pup.

Agreed; we went there last summer when we visited London. The model was incredible to see and their wee robes from year one were so cute. We loved every minute.

No love for the Sonny and Cher variety show playset?

This is what's happening right now in (somewhat) cool Austin. Only 88 right now after a week of 104-108 temps.

I'm in Austin, too, and while I like AC, I also like that some companies don't crank it up too much like they do in Houston. I don't like icy buildings. Brrr.

Perry is so much worse than W, I can't even...

Take the bus?
