It’s a hostage negotiation where he’s wearing a suicide vest made out of hot dogs. There’s a reason even the most right wing Republicans don’t run on “entitlement reform” as a platform. It’s quite possibly the least popular position a politician can take.

You never want to see a young man struggle in his career, but when that struggle makes LaVar Ball look like a horse’s ass, it really helps the medicine go down.

Dude, I see your point, but can we please stop with the aggrieved “Deadspin is a singular coherent entity that’s totally in agreement at all times” trope? Corporations are not people, fuck Antonin Scalia’s rotting corpse.

If only we could exchange Halladay with Schilling right now.

Can it really be a meltdown if he’s basically always like this?

That his wife is doing us (Philly) a favor by enshrining him with a blank cap is already a ridiculously awesome thing. Doc is a legend, but there’s no chance he wouldn’t have chosen a Blue Jays hat. The man loved Toronto.

To be fair, Marcus Hayes would have been more likely to write an article saying Roy Halliday shouldn’t have even been elected to the Hall. Because he’s an instigator and keeper of the most asinine taeks.

For fuck’s sake. I don’t live in philly anymore but am a lifelong fan. Based on the headline I would’ve guessed Marcus Hayes. He’s a known moron whereas Ford is generally respected, at least until this.

As a Phillies fan, I very selfishly want him to go in as a Phil, but of course he is a Blue Jay in the Hall. October 6, 2010 is one of my favorite sports moments. Thanks for the memories, Doc.

It’s pretty clear Deadspin hates Philadelphia. Which to me tarnishes the credibility of a very intriguing and one of the few hard hitting progressive sites on the web. It MIGHT be interesting on this story to try and ferret out what may have truth and what doesn’t. But that would be too hard so let’s take a notably

I think it was that throw to Gronk down the sideline where he noted, “If the safety steps up, he’s going to Gronk one-on-one.” I immediately was staring at that safety, saw him step up, and I was like, “Here it comes.”

Looks like an incel found the link cross posted to Kotaku!

How is she the idiot when you can’t even figure out what website you’re on?

It appears you have been triggered. Would you like a blanket and some warm milk? Or perhaps you should turn off your computer for the rest of the evening? I’m sure everyone else would prefer that option.

+10 for “T-Rex Liniment”

Spoiler Alert: This is how Trump’s presidency ends.

Because from 2002-2011, Roy Halladay was in conversation for the best pitcher in baseball nearly every year (7 top 5 Cy Young finishes in 10 years, would have been 8 if Kevin Mench didn’t break his leg with a comebacker in 2005). And players shouldn’t get punished for their body quitting on them.

I agree. Halliday was also legitmately the best pitcher in baseball a few years, but I don’t remember ever thinking there was a year when Moose was absolutely the best.

Ugh, look at Fred McGriff.

This phenomenon is known as Flacco’s Razor.
