When I graduated undergrad in 2000 I almost bought one of these but in red.  But as a poor college student starting grad school in the Fall I wisely did not.

100% this. The decals and the overall wear on the truck reminds me of old hand-me-down 70s-80s Hotwheels that I played with as a kid in the early 90s.  I love it.  The old Mitsu engine probably just needs some valve seals.

Manwich sounds reasonable, and you sound like an unhinged wierdo.

This seems like an odd take Candace...

Swiss Army Man

The passenger that said those words was calm but forceful. I wouldn’t characterize him as panicky. Did you watch the video?

Or we could invest in reliable public transit infrastructure instead

Matt Farah has said this a few times on TST podcast many times, and it bears repeating: we are at the point were something revolutionary in battery tech needs to happen now. Current battery tech has room to be optimized, but not in a way that will drastically reduce quantity of the minerals needed, or the cost of

The real problem here are precious metal costs. You’re heading down a path where these extremely heavy (Lucid Air, Hummer EV, Rivian R1T) vehicles require monster battery packs to have useful range, and you’re filling these battery packs with precious metals that have ever-increasing prices due to rarity.

And if they can shave some weight off it, it should come in at under 3000 lbs. I have high hopes for the GR Corolla.

How do we know its 72K miles?  It’s not the original engine. It could just mean that he has only placed 72K miles after the engine swap or that the old engine had 72K miles.  ND

It’s not just the “tiny fraction of” bad cops, it’s the overwhelming majority of chips who leap to protect bad cops from the consequences of their actions, and who in doing so, encourage that badness.

Each ! = one hoonage demerit.

Texas Mode engaged: Attack Cyclists

It’s unclear if the two had had a prior run-in on the road, or if the truck driver simply didn’t want the sedan getting ahead.

So far, so good:

Your grandma sounds like a badass.

He looked like a total badass. The control of his weapon points to adequate training. Glad he’s armed and spraying our highways for justice.

Maybe I’ve become jaded by COVID pricing, but this seems... not bad? I don’t want to call it a good price, but I don’t want to call it “no dice” either. I think it’s just the realities of the market today. I wouldn’t be filled with joy to pay that price, but I’d probably try to haggle a bit and end up considering it

Look $6,500 is a great price for a decent Bronco... but this one has a crap top, ripped up interior, and a center console that will for sure give me tetanus if I get in to quick. No dice buddy, get it down to sub $5k and it *might* move the needle.
