Car gifting is a staggeringly stupid idea. It costs thousands of dollars, it has incredibly subjective taste, and of course comes with a looming threat of steep repair/maintenance costs... rather than have this person hate me for gifting them ‘a problem’, I’d much rather write them a check with a suggestion to buy the

A lot of these commenters have never shopped at a bargain store before, and it shows.

Now if they could only offer a dealership experience that wasn’t actively trying to upset every customer that walked through the door.

The Cappuccino’s top is super cool and the front engined rear wheel drive setup is just classic. It’s super fun, but not LEAGUES better than the Beat.

GM cars using the reverse lights when the car is unlocked.

Look, these are great little cars, and at $8k it makes a lot of sense... but at $15k? No dice buddy. Especially when Beats can be had all day for half that.

Love seeing this kind of comment at the top. I used to put one of my shoes in the backseat with my kid. If I tried to get out of the car and put my foot on the ground I’d instantly be reminded that my kid was with me. 100% of the time I didn’t need the reminder, but I’d gladly deal with that mild inconvenience for the

I will never understand the deification of Paul Walker among car enthusiasts.

The motorcycle stuff has always freaked me out. I work right near a Tesla service center and I’ve got into a few close calls on my way into/out of work. FSD or Auto Pilot just doesn’t recognize me until far too late in most situations and it’s really unnerving. I’ve gotten to the point where I just don’t take my bike

This guy is absolutely amazing! And all of this pro-union talk in the comments is very inspiring. I hope this revolution keeps gaining momentum, because we desperately need an expansion of the middle class to fight off the contraction we’ve been dealing with for decades.

The left lane is the passing lane.

I’m nervous about several things, mostly rust related... but holy hell $4k is enough to make me cross my fingers and hope for the best. I’m going Nice Price!

I think you absolutely nailed this one.

Take the ticket, admit nothing, then call a lawyer. Preferably TicketClinic if it’s available in your area. I know it’s just anecdotal, but I have a 100% success rate with this method and have had several tickets over the years.... but your mileage may vary.

Thanks to Tesla price drops and Hertz Electric sell-offs, Model 3s can be had for $25k all over AutoTrader. And if you hunt you could get one w/sub 20k on the odometer as well.

World Rally Blue from Subaru. Beautiful on almost every car they put it on.

Oooof. This thing is so rough... but $6k has my cheap bastard sensibilities going haywire! It has good parts support, the mileage is okay, and the problems I’m seeing seem surmountable. Screw it, nice price!

What? How is this not manslaughter?

A first gen Chevy Bolt. Has some modern safety features I’d want for my kids and you can pick up a used one for ~$10k after that $4k credit. It is a no-brainer.

I mean, the absolute spamming of content by ‘The Inventory Bot’ was pretty bad. But hocking stuff from Temu? That’s probably the best indicator of decline I could imagine.
