In her case, AutoPilot probably saves a life or two every time she gets behind the wheel.

One side literally just stormed the US capitol, erected gallows, and threatened to hang politicians. So no, I have zero desire for unity with anyone who supported that, and the fact that we still have politicians who defend it is disgusting.

We’re closed and no longer accepting retirees from other states.

It being easy is kind of the point.

It being fun is what I’m testing here, dingus.

We were planning on replacing the 08 Sienna within the next year or so anyway. So spending 6k to fix a motor only to keep the car another year or so didn't make sense when I could use that money towards my downpayment.

I don't even expect our terrible healthcare system to cover a converted van....but I would expect our system to actually cover healthcare stuff, which is sometimes a challenge. This is the only modern country where you have to buy extra insurance for your insurance...and even then they can decide not to pay for

This gets an entirely undeserved NP, just because you’re never going to see another one in this condition.

Eat Shit, Bob.

A Jalop special! Row-your-own gears, boxy, and at less than $4k, it’s a great deal for a relatively low mileage, driveable ride with character. I’ve always loved these Volvos, they remind me of elementary school pick-ups. Definitely a nice price, even though a longroof wagon with the turbo would be the holy grail.

That’s where telephone poles come from, right?

It’s actually surprisingly difficult to weasel out of if the client fights it. I see this a lot because in motorbike sales, everyone and their dog modifies their bike. Basically the manufacturer needs to go to court and prove beyond a doubt that what you did specifically caused the specific issue.

Yes you can. Read and understand the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. I haven’t read it in a while. But I think it says that automobile manufacturers cannot revoke a warranty solely because you modified your vehicle.  They can void the warranty if they prove the modification caused the failure.  This is Jalopnik.  I expect

Eh, $1500 for 50hp ain’t all that bad all things considered. What’s stupid is that you can have the same performance increase while leaving your warranty in tact for $500 more. That’s not a deal many ICE owners have offered to them. 50hp is definitely noticeable, even in a street car that rarely gets driven truly

Yeah, you pretty much nailed it. You can just buy the real Tesla upgrade for $2k via the phone app that controls the car. It couldn’t be easier. Definitely not worth risking the warranty or updates or even just having warnings popping up all the time in a $50k car to save $500.

Flash tuning voids warranty, film at 11.

This is no dice on every level. It leaks, shit is broken, no mileage listed, it’s old. And I wouldn’t consider the engine swap exactly an upgrade over the stock 3.8 minivan engine this thing left the factory with. I’ll keep saving for a Bronco.

I know how he feels. I constantly post opinions like “Raisin Bran #1 cereal” when in actuality that is not my position.

it’s a nail-biter!
