Autonomous cars cannot come soon enough. If you are able to sit back and relax on your commute rather than pissing yourself over every tiny transgression you feel someone made, you might not feel the need to point a gun at anyone. Then you’ll just be a crazy Texan, rather than an asshole.

Florida isn’t horrible. With no inspections needed and year round weather that doesn’t prevent you from working on your car, it’s pretty decent. I’ve lived here most of my life and I’ve wrenched on all my cars, done a few driveway engine swaps/rebuilds, and in my spare time I’m helping my buddy build a 240 from the

The S2000 and Toyobaru twins both have excellent steering which is just as good if not better (in the case of the S2000 at least) than the RX8. The Z28 has crazy grip that can’t translate every bump the way these others can, and I guarantee if you bolted up 305s to the RX8 you’d kill it’s communicative feel

SavageGeese hated this car more than I hate most anything in my life...

Raw data or bust! Upload the spreadsheet so we can all revel in it’s glorious tediousness!

Terry cloths and chamois?! No way dude.. Microfiber to wash, Microfiber to dry, and Microfiber for the interior. Terry cloths and chamois just push dirt around where a microfiber towel will actually grab the dirt and keep it away from the paint while you dry or wash.

Yay! Now to find out what git is...

But it’s Subaru, so after the concept comes the ceremonious beating with an ugly stick and it’ll come out like this:

I know I’m super late to this party, but I completely disagree about the second generation xB. What you fail to mention is the engine upgrade that went along with that 600lb weight increase. The engine that they placed in there was now the 2AZ-FE which is a FAR superior engine to that of the 1NZ-FE. The 2AZ was good

No. Like, a million times, no. It is way safer now than it was when I was allowed to roam free in the neighborhood when I was 10.

I’ll tell you what Mini, I will absolutely buy your cars once you get your reliability out of the 1980s.

To quote Everyday Driver:

For the love of God Tavarish, stop talking about this car. I’m trying to find one for cheap but if you keep bringing them up the more likely someone at a dealership will realize what they have and charge 3k more than what I want to pay.

...no they aren’t.

Excellent write up! I actually got excited when you came to your final conclusion. Great decision Tavarish, I hope you love that thing for years to come!

No one on here will agree with me... but for my money (as in realistic budget for my income bracket) you can’t get better than a Scion xB and a Miata. Scion xB is the perfect commuter car that is big enough for my family and the miata is excellent for date nights and track days, bro.

Did you say you were launching a youtube channel? Is it going to be the channel you launched 7 months ago? If so, I hate to be the barer of bad news...

They work, but with the improvements in Laser over past tech the likelihood that you know before you’re tagged is way lower. Waze is exactly what you need.. In 4 years of use I’ve only seen a handful of cops that weren’t tagged in the app already (and then I tagged them!)

Yes, let’s all take advice from the person who simultaneously laments her lost Daily Show and then wants to cancel Hulu+ because she never uses it. I’ve had the cable cut for 5 years now and, thanks to Hulu, I haven’t missed a Daily Show since.
