Nah the only problem the 3DS had in the beginning was lack of amazing games. I don't really consider depth a gimmick personally, but I can see how a person could.

I actually really like the 3D on the 3DS. Sometimes it tricks me, like when birds fly by in Fire Emblem I think there is a bug in the room I'm in and try to swat it, only to realize it was the game. That's kind of a silly thing to like, but I like it. Also without motion controls I could never have played my favorite…

I recommend both Kirby Super Star Ultra and Kirby 64: the Crystal Shards, although pretty much every Kirby game is excellent. They don't change much, but they change enough, I've always liked that about Kirby games. It's one of my favorite series actually.

I've never been a JRPG guy (tried them, not for me sadly) but seriously with this game the 3DS has an amazing game in nearly every genre. This is the golden age of handheld gaming.

This. I believe there is a huge market for potential 30$ or 40$ games, with less cost to develop, but consumers will understand due to the lower price tag. Nintendo experiments with this occasionally, with things like Excitebots(Which was excellent) but they are never marketed enough. Give us mid-priced games!
