Yeah, it’d be that for me, as I’m thinking at most two beers at $7 - $9 per (going rate around here). Glasses of wine are around $12 at cheapest, so two of those and two beers would be closer to $50.

And $20 each for booze at a place that sells $30-50 entrees is really lowballing it.

I suspect that most of the time someone is ordering the $19 burger, they’re not the one who chose the restaurant, and them ordering the burger is the price you’re paying to have the party there at all. It’s like the perfunctory vegan item at the steakhouse.

“So if you have $40 or $50 entrees and you have a $19 burger, and a third of the people get the burger, you’re losing a huge amount of money.”

‘Thank you for supporting us on your special occasion, but we’d like to see more of you so here’s an option.’”

5-speed 18 year old Honda Element haver - I’d agree that I’m definitely paying more attention to my driving than most of the people on the road with me - but I am not sure giving THEM manuals would be the answer. ;)

Manual cars ARE safer. My original response to the OP was removed (intentionally), but I’ll continue to disagree, that it’s a stupid myth (or a myth in general). You’re obviously lying if you think a manual car doesn’t force you to pay some kind of attention to the act of driving and your surroundings. You’re also

Yeah it’s literally about a colonized planet.

Love the books. Lynch & Sci Fi Channel movies are at least fun to watch. I’m also a fan of this director, Euro Sci Fi / comics, etc. That being stated - I found part one boring. Wanted to like it but it just didn’t really work for me.

Most audience members were surprised by the ending, which set up a continuation of the story.”

not like it’s embarrassing, or anything.

No one expects Stewart to be a propagandist for Biden the way Tucker is for Trump. It’s just supremely unreal to see the media at large, including Stewart, treat Biden’s age and occaisonal gaffes as if they’re in any way comparable to Trump’s insane, dictatatorial, self-absorbed ramblings.

If subsidies get you a good product at a good price, then why not?

This is the best answer to the “big truck crisis”. Vehicles that are either bought for a business, taxed as such, used as such, or over certain weight should require CDLs & relevant insurance. I’d even say that should apply to vans, and the top end of SUVs.

We’d see the demand for these vehicles drop significantly.

That Chevy should require a CDL to operate.

Kids play is restricted because adults have CarBrain.

Man, kudos to you. Not only for acknowledging the danger, but for having the ingenuity and taking the extra steps to reach for something above “good enough”

No way. How could this be.

One parent’s leaving for an errand and the other is staying home with the kids.

15 kids a day? That’s a lot of points.
