I’m pretty sure Fox’s producers get the joke. It’s simply that this is easy content to twist around into the Outrage of the Day to keep their septuagenarian audience from changing the channel to Newsmax.

The Si would probably be a much better fit for you, then. It’s over $10k cheaper, but you still get rev-matching, an LSD, supportive seats, a great manual, and ~200hp. Plus you won’t have to deal with excessive tire wear and all the negative attention that a Type R would bring.

I think this Times reporter got to go spend some time with SBF & FTX in their Bahamas and Miami locations, and probably had a great time and would like to go back.

Could the Times author be (let me figure out a gentle way to say this) someone who has no fucking idea how business is supposed to function? Otherwise I’d have to guess that he wore a cheerleader uniform when he wrote the article.

That is a seriously sinister looking image of Eric Weinberg.... how did he even allow himself to be photographed like that??? That’s kind of amazing.

I haven’t had much esteem for Musk since he suggested an inflexible, unworkable submarine as a solution to a problem that was already on its way to being solved (not to mention calling one of the people on his way to solving the problem a “pedophile” for no good reason).  But even I am taken aback with the swiftness

In one particularly glaring incident, multiple writers say that Weinberg participated in a bit in the workplace on a “national rape day,” or a day where men could “rape whoever they wanted.” Then ensued a long conversation on who the male writers would rape if given the chance. When one woman writer pushed back

one that allotted them to watch porn while on the job.

Most of those planes have a big blind spot down and in front of the pilot.  If you look at the history of these WII planes, many of which were designed immediately before or even during the war, they were somewhat rushed and a lot of them have weird quirks (even after the war airplane design if full of compromises as

At a minimum, i agree that they need to do maneuvers/reenactments. the superbird analogy is spot on. Its cool just to see these things fly by. Nothing more or less.

For what it’s worth there’s a big difference between battle damage and a collision. Even though things like flak and cannons that are designed to kill airplanes do so by basically punching them full of small holes and hoping to hit the right critical components. You can basically rip 90% of the skin off of an aircraft

Couldn’t have picked a better pic.

That’s dangerous enough with modern planes and 30 year old pilots, it’s nuts to do it with priceless artifacts that are over 75 years old with 50+ year old pilots.

I find it hard to believe that the COGS for Rivian’s electric vans are actually $200k.  COGS is the actual per-unit cost, without any additional amortization of the startup costs like machinery, workforce development, and so on.  The only way it would cost $200k is if they were still doing things like machining parts

Such a shame. I love the old WW2 planes, but I think it’s about time to ground them all. These are 76-80 year old planes and keeping them airworthy is a nightmare. I think even worse is that to keep the planes authentic, the controls and avionics are also pushing 80 year old technology and pilots that are really

Oh god. The Graduate didn’t make hundreds of millions of dollars and neither did any other movie like it. That is why Hollywood makes blockbusters.

These movies live or die by the actors. Pretty much every other aspect of them is mediocre as fuck

Fun fact: You can enjoy watching her naked in movies without harassing her.

I hate that I know exactly what you’re talking about. But on the flipside, if I had to guess, that squirminess means they used less plastic which is better for the environment? (I can be optimistic, right?)

I love Kewpie, but I cannot stand how wormlike and squirmy the feel of the bottle is. It doesn’t stop me from using it, but it really really bothers me.
