Operative word “yet.”

It feels weird to put this on individuals when we’re denied any other options and have very few politicians attempting to implement socialized healthcare

What boggles my mind is they decry socialised healthcare as the devil but happy to pay ridiculous premiums for a policy that may payout or not but either way has an out of pocket, etc...

The insurance industry, the AMA and their armies of lobbyists are the problem.

Canadian here.

The behind the scenes insurance fuckery should be completely invisible to the person needing emergency care at the time they are receiving care.  The system sucks.

If you’re driving hours on end, don’t put the top down.

Yeah, not sure how they can blame EV’s for it when convertibles have been declining every year. EV’s provide enough flexibility in packaging that convertibles would be easier. The batteries in the floor add structure.

I’ve never seen the draw of convertibles. Drive them during the day and you get a sun burn; drive them at night and you get moths in your car. Wind in your eyes drying out your eye balls, less torsional rigidity, can’t keep papers in your car, higher fatality in rollovers, and for what? Maybe if you really like

Pinning 1st gear on EV’s is going after a symptom, not the cause. Modern safety regs turned every convertible into a bunker, hence why the majority are just alterations of low slung sports cars in the first place. It’s not EV’s fault that convertibles are currently the most unpopular product with lowest margins,

3rd gear: Yeah, I will be going to a dealer for a new car. I HATE dealerships, but I can’t imagine buying a car without knowing how it drives and feels. I’ve gone car shopping for a car that checked every single box that I was excited for. Then I get in it for a test drive and it just didn’t work for some reason. The

While this article gets nowhere near the heart of the matter, I think there’s a really weird push-pull occurring. Avatar was a huge blockbuster which made untold amounts of money worldwide, mainly due to being a technical marvel and telling an uncomplicated story using characters anyone can somewhat imprint on. Toxic ICE worship/delusion.

This “built not bought” shit. Don’t get me wrong, backyard skills and DIY is awesome. And everyone should learn a little maintenance knowledge at a minimum. But this notion that paying someone to do the job correctly makes you less of an enthusiast or even worse, a lesser person, needs to go away. If it’s money that

The unsactioned gathering is what draws these folks in. This guy was just the worst offender becuase he killed two people.  Please tell me what “other points of view” I should examine about having modded cars drag race in the middle of a small town with a lot of pedestrian traffic.

Counterpoint: do these actually hurt anyone? I see rolling coal below and obviously sideshows above, but I don’t really see any issue with people making their cars the way they like them. This is ONLY pertaining to the modifications, not what an owner does after the car is modified (drag race, donuts in an

Rolling coal. Yes we get it, you hate the environment, Prius’, and bicyclists. There’s probably a bumper sticker for that.

Are those moron donks still a thing?

I’ve been putting address labels on things for years now. One time I found an umbrella on my porch that I’d left at a theatre the night before.

I’m surprised that they don’t just give these away (or at cost of shipping) just to get people to d/l and use their app, get into their ecosystem.
