Bravo! This is probably the worst headline I’ve seen yet on the kinjas.

I think it’s a rule somewhere that in every single thread mentioning Avatar 1) someone has to say it’s forgettable and 2) someone has to say “unobtanium? REALLY?”

Exactly, it’s a real-world term in engineering circles and it makes sense that future engineers would still use it to refer to hard-to-get materials.

It's a perfectly cromulent designation.

I hate to be the guy who defends Avatar, but that complaint always annoyed me. It was obvious from the context that that was just a jokey nickname for the mineral due to its rarity, like how people call Whole Foods “Whole Paycheck” due to how pricey it is.

They might not be able to name a character, but, attendance at Animal Kingdom went from under 11million a year to almost 14 million a year post Pandora opening.

Why is this always brought up whenever Avatar is discussed? Like, I always just saw Unobtanium as a nickname for the resource, which honestly isn’t that weird of a name when you consider words like “tweeting” are part of the daily lexicon. And even if that was the official elemental name, there are even weirder

I am gonna assume since you stopped watching you did not see it in theaters.

The Spartacus one is pretty famous among LGBTQ film buffs because of Vito Russo’s brilliant book The Celluloid Closet: Homosexuality in Movies which was turned into an (equally brilliant) documentary by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. That scene is discussed in-depth in the book and documentary.

And honestly, if

Ain’t that the truth. As soon as I saw the word “problematic” in the sub-heading I knew that’s what this review would be about. Not the episode, which the reviewer doesn’t seem to understand (her comments about the show being boring are testament to that), but just because a gay character died.

Yara Greyjoy as well, who took over the Iron Islands. Not just a woman too, but also LGBTQ.

Also, for all that the justified criticism that the end of Game of Thrones got, one bit that really impressed me was how it neatly sidestepped all the potential for Dany’s ending to come off as a message of “women should never have power” by also having Sansa end up in charge of the North, which is presented

I think some of the “backlash against criticism about representation” is about the fact that it sometimes feels like it’s the only subject critics are interested in. This was, by far, the best episode of House of the Dragon. It managed to create a tension the show has been lacking, and ended with a scene where all the

This writter is probably young. I always try to do older movie references and alot of people don’t get it. The only one they get is when I say this looks like the ending to Scarface everytime I see spilled surger or flour at work. I know people that don’t know about Paul Newman and just know him as the dude on the

Rhaenyra and Laenor’s coded conversation about their sexual preferences (“roast duck” versus “roast goose”) feels like a Westerosi homage to the Schitt’s Creek scene in which David Rose uses wine varietals as a metaphor for pansexuality.”

Lucky for me, because it requires a small amount of cooperation on the part of the state to receive federal funding, our dumbass governor and legislature will reject it outright.

Neutral: I have a feeling the fully electric Jeeps will sell very well.

2nd Gear: You know you have a bad reputation when Dodge doesn’t want to have anything to do with you.

Ventura at least had a background in government, and depending on your particular views did a competent job as governor. Bachmann? Not so much.
