I will give Avatar credit for creating the only fully realized truly alien world in film. All the Star Wars alien planets are just different Earth environments (desert planet, ocean planet, beach planet, forest moon, etc.) none of them are really alien. So many sci-fi movies and shows just have regular forests stand…
