The result here is that the Court substitutes itself for Congress and the Executive Branch in making national policy about student-loan forgiveness.”

Hey Clarence, thanks for handing 2024 to the Democrats.

you linked some...guy’s youtube video. I don’t think you understand how journalism works. I can’t really blame you for that though, as it seems to be a nearly dead medium. However, a youtube video with a clickbait title to try and capitalize on some new controversy is not journalism. There have been murders and

I mean what exactly did she do that would be considered grooming? Did she actually meet these minors somewhere and did things? Did they exchange nudes? Grooming is to wear down a person’s morals so you can get whatever you want easier (Usually for sexual favors). Judging from this article’s examples I’m struggling to

Welp, now “grooming” is now another word that has completely lost its meaning

I’m confused - what are they claiming she groomed them for? It doesn’t sound like anything happened except some weird conversations.

For those of us who take child abuse seriously rather than as a sensational news item, “grooming” is a means to an end. What’s being reported here is admittedly cringey behavior that did not, reportedly, lead to the actualized or attempted sexual abuse or predation of a minor.

I am an old, so I am not familiar with her work, or this controversy.

People are why we can’t have nice concerts.

Taylor’s “next Trump” framing isn’t enough to justify him apparently sitting on these stories until he could profit off them. John Kelly’s tenure ended in 2019, and Trump ran for re-election between now and then. By all means get this information out, but no one should support this book.

Hey you know how you can tell someone isn’t genuinely interested in “taking down Trump?”

Yup. This is all shit they could have been saying at the time but didn’t because they were hoping to ride it out for their own gain.

His attorneys should be disciplined by the bar for filing that suit. It’s literally a question asking what she felt, her responding that she thought in her head ‘oh yes he did oh yes he did”. Legally speaking, THAT is not even a statement about what happened all those years ago. That is ONLY a statement about what

I honestly have no issue with people offering free ultrasounds and pregnancy counseling.... but just be fucking honest. How about “Pro-Life Pregnancy Center?” Tell people what your real agenda is before they walk in the door. I seriously have no idea how these “virtuous Christians” can look at themselves in the mirror

It’s so frustrating that 2024 will be Biden vs. Trump again. At this point, it feels like we’re decades away from at least somewhat progressive forces being successful at a national level.

Populism, like fascism, always harkens back to an earlier, simpler time. It says that there was time when life was easy, when we got along with each other, when we were healthy and happy and we had lots of friends; it was a time before those people came along and ruined it.

Same here! Both my sons were planned. With the first one I was in labor over 30 hours, finally had an emergency c section and then was on an antibiotic IV for a week to fight the infection I developed during 30 hours of labor.  Simply put, I could have died and my child along with me.  And I wanted my son before he

No one should be forced to end or continue a pregnancy against her will.  I get livid when these forced birthers - especially men - try to reduce women down to nothing but life support for our uterus and define our value by our uterus.  I remember the world before Roe and women will not tolerate going back to that

I always tell people that having a kid has made me even more pro-choice. Beyond the obvious trolling, I completely mean it: no one should ever go through pregnancy and childbirth without having chosen to. If you picture the facts of childbearing objectively, it’s torture, plain and simple.

I had an abortion back in 2007, when abortion rights were constantly being attacked around the edges, but overall Roe didn’t seem to be in imminent danger. And I lived in Massachusetts, giving me an extra layer of protection. I knew as soon as I suspected I might be pregnant that I would have an abortion if I was, and
