Youre paying higher and higher subscription costs to subsidize the production of the crappy shows Netflix keeps churning out. Netflix has been making billions of dollars a year. They are raising subscription costs because they are greedy. Be mad at them, not your fellow man. 

Also I assume his lawyers are billing $1-2k hourly so the legal fees alone are likely going to be worth more than the deposit. And good luck recovering those from a couple of wedding planners. 

Yeah filing it for same day as sentencing is more to just do the thing and plant another issue for appeal.

Lawyer here. It’s to be expected to file a motion for a new trial after a guilty verdict, if there is any argument at all to be made. It’s almost ineffective assistance of counsel if you don’t.
