I don’t know, where I work, gun laws are actually a huge tool of oppression against communities of color. So I welcome our new social justice warriors who will protect the right to carry for ALL Americans, I’m sure :)

I think it was this!

Au Pied de Cochon restaurant in Montreal. They have this dish called duck in a can. It’s literally a duck in a can. It’s basically cooked in the can sous vide style and then they open it tableside. They also had these foie gras balls that just exploded in your mouth. Ate there probably 8 years ago and we still talk

beauty industry publicist Chelsea Keyes and sneaker and collectible portfolio manager Evan McDuffie

I graduated from grad school with $110k in debt and now after a few years of payments I have $120k in debt (from a public school, you narcs)! Things that would be actually useful:

So you’re whining about what you could have done with that money and now insisting that other people continue to go through the same thing that you went through, just because you went through it, fully acknowledging that what you went through sucked.

These essays sound stupid, but also, what’d Cazzie David ever do to you?

Honestly for me, probably Occupy? I was living in Boston at the time and I was there for the first night, camped out with my roommates who were these amazing radical Christians. I didn’t camp there consistently but I went down a few times a week to bring food and supplies and try to participate. Of course there were

Can Tommy Tuberville name the three branches of government? The answer is roll tide.

It’s great but also this one is my happy place:

At one point in college I was living in a house with 3 roommates, and their varous partners/hookups. The kitchen was a frequent point of contention. One morning I woke up and went into the kitchen and it was a wreck. Every form of cheese and anything remotely dippable from the fridge (butter, salsa, cream cheese, etc)

He admitted a year ago he smacked his girlfriend. Then not only did he not apologize, he harassed her. You go before any parole board, a year ago might as well have been yesterday, even if you cry crocodile tears about what you did. Not seeing any tears or remorse here.

Somehow the end of season 4 (I won’t spoil it, but for those who watched.. its the one with Rita and Harrison in the bathroom) was the most emotionally affected I have ever been by a tv show. It actually made me real life sad, for days!

It’s hard to parse the CA results. Most of the progressive measures lost (affirmative action, rent control, closing corporate tax loopholes, labor protections for gig workers). But also we restored right to vote for people on parole, and maintained crucial criminal justice reforms. And gave a big F you to the 5 nerdy

Baffling, but not surprising, I should say. Because their logic is so dumb but yes they are consistent with their dumb logic.

It’s baffling to me that the progressives kept their seats, the moderates lost, and somehow the moderates are blaming the progressives for that. Maybe, I don’t know, look at where taking an actual fucking stance will get you!

I didn’t do a single one of those things when I was in middle school. Some of them were done to me and I was aware then that they were wrong.

Also if there was a movie and you were doing costume design for “conservative guy who interrupts press conference to yell conspiracy theories” that outfit would have been too obvious and on the nose. But there he is. BBQ, Beer, Freedom.

the CA props were all over the place. Yes to restoring right to vote, keeping crim justice reforms, but no to taxing the rich, rent control, protecting employees, and that fucked up “privacy” bill. Erm, what?

How is it voter suppression to call a state after the polls have closed and everyone has voted??
