I say this as a lapsed MK fan. I loved it up till three as a kid. I came back for two of the 3D ones revolving around Shujinko (?). Which I liked, but it just feels like they didn’t keep up. I played Injustice 1 & 2 for a bit, but both felt completely off in someway I couldn’t ignore. The video below explains for MK,

Well check this out. Once you see it, you kind of can’t unsee it:

I can’t believe I’m saying this but.. this all looks very boring. It feels like the combatants look boring, the kills look boring, the fighting looks boring.. It’s graphically impressive but at the same time.. just kinda feels and looks flat to me.

Is this how you get me to post a gratuitous shot of Zelina in her costume? Because this is how you get me to post a gratuitous shot of Zelina in her costume

MK is one of the most visually and aurally impressive fighting games ever created and SUCKS so terribly mechanically it is unplayable. I have gone back to the latest iteration several times, and I’m not bad at it, but the flow of the fight and ability to instinctively know when you can respond to and interrupt attacks

One of the problems with “guest characters” is that even if you don’t pick them, you still have to fight against them. It can ruin the feel of the game just seeing them there for some people.

Well, you’re obviously not a fan, otherwise you would have know they are ‘80s B-movie creeps.

I just hope it’s better than 10. The story was awful (compared to 9), new characters weren’t very interesting (the offspring characters being chief among them), and I hated the gated moves depending on which fighting style you chose. Overall I didn’t care for the character designs either. Also, the PC port was garbage

Zelina Vega as Jade is a much better WWE crossover than Ronda in the game.

Less non-MK DLC fighters this time around, plzkthnxs

I need Jade back.

>Mileena

Cool stuff. But on a sidenote to Mr. Boon and friends: Mileena or bust. And hey, since we’re doing more time travel stuff, that’s one more potential handwave along with the other numerous potential handwaves to deal with her “death” in MKX.

So, this is a REALLY long story, but a lot of Japanese “fight” promotion is intertwined with both pro-wrestling and organized crime (and those two are often the same thing). So when you see a fight like this in Japan that makes ZERO goddamn sense financially, the answer is often “because Yakuza”.

bro, upon further review that punch was eight inches from the kids head.  Watch the full video and how his head is rolling around after, and hes fake crying.. its so clearly a work.

It’s very obviously a fixed fight.

I understand why you were disappointed in Octopath, but I’ve personally enjoyed the combat system enough to overlook the game’s faults. There’s a lot of room for improvement in a hypothetical sequel, but I like the foundation.

The 80s Era WWE/WWF style flailing really sold Mayweather's power.

It was no 2017, but it was a damn good year all the same. I was surprised no JRPGs made the list, but I might have to check out A Way Out.

He certainly cannot read the question...
