::looks at list of actual, verifiable gains made during the Biden administration::

If COVID hadn’t hit and Trump bungled it epically, he might have rolled to a 2nd term.

Yep. Like, okay, Biden’s Biden, but he’s actually gained forward momentum and done some end runs around the clown car fuckpile that is the GOP.

The further political polarization of all media outlets (which seems to be your proposal) is not a long-term solution, nor should it be considered even a good short-term one. We are caught in a feedback loop. To be clear, I don’t know quite how we get out of it, but I do know that attacking anyone who even attempts

I really don’t know what articles or channels you guys are paying attention to where Trump isn’t getting endless negative coverage. He can’t be mentioned on CNN or MSNBC without them talking about the failed insurrection.

Honestly though who needs Biden to complete another term? We just need him to beat trump.

If you seriously think there’s a candidate that has a better shot at beating Trump than the dude who’s literally already done it, please share.

I have no idea how you can claim I’m arguing in bad faith.  Are you suggesting that the current polls are understating Biden’s “actual” approval rating and he’s really much more popular than the 538 average of polls suggests?  Because I’d take that bet.

I’d say -18% approval is deep enough to compensate for any margin of error. This is the 538 average, and it’s trending in the wrong direction:

Let’s be honest, the only other candidate who came at all close to winning the Democratic nomination was Bernie Sanders, who is an even older white man. There was a sizeable range of candidates, most of whom failed to make any impression on the primary electorate.

A surprising amount of democrats are expecting Stewart to somehow break whatever spell is over a bunch of the American people, which is weird, because it’s not like that happened during the Bush Administration either.

Oh yeah, Biden accomplished nothing in his presidential term.

Biden is going to be the candidate. That’s as far as my devotion to him goes. If there was a serious chance of Newsom or Whitmer or (insert Dem hopeful here) replacing Joe, so be it.

This. This writer in Vox argues (pretty convincingly) that:

But since when do those media outlets not counter Fox News? They do so just by reporting reality. I don’t know if you’ve watched CNN lately, but there’s no shortage of shitting on Trump as a failed insurrectionist.

There’s a difference though between expecting media to not only accurately trash Trump, but also expectin

I mean...don’t get me wrong. Trump is obviously a moron who (as Jon Stewart pointed out) regularly says things that I’d expect from my 6 year old nephew. But in terms of visual and effects of age, I think they are correct that Trump does not come off as senile or fragile as Biden. Which is a problem in an election.

Why? He’s old and only getting older, and it’s showing. And Stewart’s show last night was very funny in the way it pointed it out.

I guess I’m a “contraian” if that means expressing an opinion contrary to yours.

What if I told you that it’s not a comedian talk show host’s job to do Joe any favors?

Didn’t Biden already beat Trump?
