From what it sounds like, specifically the phrase “another actress”, it sounds like they cast her and then something happened, which could range from contract disputes about pay to her costume catching fire to her and her entire family being killed by a rogue terminator from the future.

I’m guessing rights issue. Seeing how the Rock tries really hard to promote girl power in other movies (like being a girl’s soccer coach and getting them to do a haka onscreen)  I’m really thinking rights issue and when this movie is successful, they’ll back the money truck to the driveway of whatever is causing said

Martian Manhunter is rumored to be in the Snyder Cut so if true Whedon cut him out.

Well, Wally gets no love anywhere, including in the DC universe proper.

I am presuming there is some weird rights issue rather than a deliberate snub. Speaking of snubs, why is the Justice League cartoon getting no love in the cinematic universe: no John Stewart, no Martian Manhunter, Flash is Barry Allen even though he sounds exactly like Wally West from the cartoon, and now no Hawkgirl.

A great joy of mine is knowing that all of them secretly hate one another and that the only reason they are doing any of this is for the money (well, besides Stephen Miller). What a lonely and empty existence, its like people making their own hell-loops in Lucifer.

It’s fascinating to me how the republicans manage to get so many votes time and time again. Their basic deal is “more money for the rich, make the country worse for everyone else”, and yet they get a whole bunch of “everyone elses” voting for them. It has to count among the most successful scams of all time.

Daddy hated it, donj.

They have only shot about 25% of the movie, so their options were a bit limited. It’s Batman. Obviously it’s going to be dark.

But does remember to hit Bane’s giant Punch-Out weak-point mask this time!

Not to be a bummer, but (changes made by me in bold italics)...

It also explains why all the small time thugs and street criminals then becoming henchmen to these gangsters: They’re safer working in groups with The Batman around.

. . . but more likely it was sourced from a recording on a professional grade tape format like Betamax. . .

I think they totally nailed who Batman was in Arkham City when Batman tells the dying Joker that for every terrible thing Joker ever did, Batman still would have saved him.

This sounds very much like the middle chapter of a trilogy, or just an episode of a serialized story. I am not seeing much to make this really an event worth getting excited about. We will know where Batman came from, we know where he eventually will wind up, broadly speaking. So what is this movie really all about?

Technically, he’s out of sight because of the Dent Act, but that shouldn’t have stopped him from cracking heads and prowling rooftops regardless. Considering how mopey he is about Rachel, it’s definitely more about him lamenting he never got up in her guts.

Well, technically he took eight years off because that Harvey Dent crime bill got passed and he’d essentially completed his mission.

“Whatever The Dark Knight Rises was.”

This feels a little like Batman 3, following-up on Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. An alternate film to Dark Knight Rises...
