I have to admit yours is the most correct answer.

More like The Diddler.

I think they are supposed to be Penguins henchmen. The black lips are meant to be the beaks.

I agree with that. Batfleck was an excellent Batman (and Bruce Wayne). He was too murdery but that fight scene was amazing - the best Batfight ever filmed. Snyder gets a lot wrong, but directing an in-camera action sequence is not one of them.

It’s a little funny to me that the same people who are over on the Snyder cut threads ripping Batfleck for being “too Dark Knight too early in his career” are completely on board this “year two Batman” basically going batshit on some street thug.

I know they weren’t ears. And no beanie does that naturally over time. Maybe one point in the middle but both sides at points resembling tiny cat ears? No.

I didn’t catch the fandome but wouldn’t that be the Riddler? Assuming Duct Tape Killer Man is him, it's certainly a departure.

I was so ready for Hot Penguin 2020 too.

I know it’s popular to hate, but the Batman fights in Batman v Superman were freaking glorious because of how mobile he was. If that carries into this movie, I’m in.

But I will miss Batfleck. He’s my fave.

Paul Dano is a fantastic actor and will no doubt be an excellent Riddler

Is that Farrell at 1:17? (and later say “this guy’s crazy!” It doesn’t look like him at all, but he certainly looks very Penguiny.

Honestly, I thought that was Kind.

That is not a casting I’d ever considered before, but... huh.

You can see them popping up here??? Hm. Idk I can’t lol.

I see what you’re saying in terms of the look of the film being grounded in a sort of reality. And while Nolan pioneered it in the movies, and in many ways the success of his movies changed the course of the comics, the idea of a grounded take on Batman has been around for awhile. Darren Aronofsky almost made a Batman

Year 2 for Batman, origin for everyone else.

It’s the whole “Comicbook but make it grounded/real” vibe that I’m getting that Nolan most definitely pioneered. Also, it just reminded me a lot of his style from when he did Batman. The tone, the lightning, etc. As much as I can’t stand Snyder, he knows that no matter how gritty and real you want to get, it’s still a

Like how Harvey Dent wasn’t going to be Two Face in TDK?

Matt Reeves said it’s year 2 and not an origin story.

I liked it! Although it seems very Nolanesque. The only thing I’m disappointed with is that once again this is a Origin/Year 1 story. Selina isn’t Catwoman (Matt Reeves confirmed this in the panel) Ugh. And talk about subtle with the cat ears on her ski mask. He confirmed someone else will not be who they become in
