I thought there would be more snark and snobbery but the dosage was fine. Anyway, like most, growing older and being more open to things has drastically lowered the number of my pop culture dealbreakers, so the ones I do have were not decided on a whim.
Which is why I agree with almost all of the above but take issue

"I bought this album the day it was released"
- One of 12 people in the Memphis area who actually did.

Must check it out. Thanks for the tip.

It figures that Sully Erna would name his crappy band after the weakest song on Dirt.

If you don't compare her to a bunch of her peers who are older yet look better, sure.
(Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Salma Hayek, Catherine Zeta Jones, Julia Roberts, Kate Walsh, and Naomi Watts come to mind.)

At least not anymore. She was really hot once.

hahahahahahahahahaha

"She was thicker. That was the key to her hotness."

She was damn gorgeous in The Mask. Man…

Piece lives up to the title. It's always gratuitous "What actor do we bring down a notch?" time and Depp is the current recipient of that bullshit. There's a bunch of hacks making shitbag after shitbag and get little to no grief, yet Depp earns it for what? Having a long career with its share of gems? Whatever. Kudos,

Mann and Diaz are not exactly aging very well, so to cast them next to a 21 year old Sports Illustrated-approved pin up girl seems a bit cruel.

THIS!

"Well it is sort of a badge of honor considering what else was out at the time."

While many instances of this feature are pointless—"I dunno, I just don't like this song" and attacking low-hanging fruit come to mind—I like the concept, regardless. Maybe it could be more interesting if the interviewee gave an informed takedown of a sacred cow-type tune.

"The Lady in Red" reminds me of:

As a music snob who doesn't really have a problem with this song, I say Trohman should interpret his band's name as a command: "Fall out, boy."

"Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are such a bastardized, horrifying version of what Slug and Ant have been doing for, like, 15 years."

Meh.

Time for female drummers to get their due. Guess we'll have to wait a little longer, huh?
