Agreed on everything except burns, don’t put it on burns!! It might feel good in the moment but it does more harm than good in the long run.
I watched the embedded clip and was absolutely charmed. It sucks that saying she has ‘mom energy’ or that she’s ‘maternal’ comes across as a dig, like I’m calling her uncool or something, because I really don’t mean that - I think at her best on Drag Race, she really champions and roots for the queens without letting…
OKAY I appreciate this comment! I’m in Canada and I bought a carton of oat milk awhile back to try it out....and I strongly prefer unsweetened across the board, so I was like ‘did I actually buy sugar milk? ....I can’t remember...??’ I didn’t want to assume though, so thanks again for the intel!
Maybe an ignorant question, but are unsweetened oat milks not an option yet? I’m big time Team Soy Milk since I became lactose intolerant in the early 2000's, and maybe it’s a little sneaky, but longtime non-dairy milk drinkers know that ‘original’ means ‘sweetened’. Soy tastes just fine unsweetened and I suspect oat…
Thanks for the graphic - I’m happy to see that oat is at least in the same neighbourhood as soy, which is my actual top choice. I don’t often drink lattes but the cute local types of shops I choose when I do want one are switching over big time.
I have been hollering about cabbage for AWHILE now. Despite the lack of glamour, as I get better as a cook the more I’m convinced that cabbage is definitely in my top 3, if not my top favourite vegetable. In basically any kind of braise it gets the most gorgeous silky texture, and I learned how to do the…
Yoplait came in multiple cheesecake flavors—amaretto, raspberry, and strawberry— as well as caramel apple, cookies ‘n cream, and pie flavors, like Boston Creme or key lime.
I got a fancy rosemary apple jelly recently with the intention of using it for cheese boards & maybe making some vinaigrettes/glazes. What I’ve actually mostly done with it is eaten it with peanut butter. WOW YOU GUYS. The rosemary especially makes me feel vaguely sophisticated, even in the context of having had more…
Oh dang, $8 would have me hesitating too....both oysters and mussels can often be found on sale for <$2 for me.
I love canned smoked oysters, but not as much their grocery store neighbour the canned smoked mussel. I open up a tin, dash in a bunch of hot sauce, then eat them with sourdough toast for breakfast. They’re super nutritious, inexpensive, high in protein....honestly surprised they’re not MORE popular.
helpful! but also, oh no
If you don’t like the mushiness of the pickled ripe tomatoes, I must recommend you try the pickled green tomatoes at the same kind of European store next time you see some. Holy smokes they’re delicious.
I always assumed that there was a basement rec room (like there was in most of the ‘decorated’ houses I went to growing up) that was just a glorious chaotic mess with kid stuff everywhere. Separated from the cameras for both sides’ benefit.
So my little Canadian butt went to Texas a bunch of years back and I LOVED queso dip, holy smokes, and it is actually actively hard to get the right stuff to make it up here. That cheap ‘cheese’ is necessary and the most accessible way for me to get it would be to unwrap like 40 Kraft singles....and I cannot abide…
I don’t know why my brain is broken like this, but ordering the whole full-sized meal combo at a fast food place is something I can only do on road trips or in airports. It feels like I’m not allowed? This means that my most frequent orders are:
Aw damn, I remember really liking the apple cinnamon Cream of Wheat packs when I was in high school. Sorry to hear they don’t exist anymore.
Ahahaha, no way! What a delightful fact.
I have a working theory with friends that oversized looks are easier to pull off if you’re tall.....but I just Googled, Gillian Anderson is 5'3". Back to the alternate theory of ‘it’s good because it’s on Gillian Anderson’.
Did you watch that season of the Bachelorette that had his brother, though? I saw the last few eps with the other Rodgers, including the family visit home............yeah idk, snap judgement, I’m with Aaron. I don’t usually watch football or the Bachelorette so I’m not really invested in either camp, but as someone…
