I traded my ‘03 IS300 for a BRZ. While the driving dynamics are much better, I miss the sound of the un-resonated 2JZ and I still find myself craning my neck to look when I see one on the road. I should have kept it.

I’m glad to hear they improved it. How’s the manual?

I think there’s a place for the Camry. It’s an easy recommendation for any non-enthusiast: they’re all around good cars, just boring. What irks me is that Camrys (Camries?) and Corollas now have “Sport” trims and even “Sport” driving modes and have aggressive styling as though they were anything near sporty. It’s an

I test drove a 2017 Impreza wagon in manual, and found it clunky and rubbery to the point where it took all the fun out of rowing. It didn’t feel any faster than the CVT version. (which was a dog) Maybe the newest version is better, but that 2017 car sure was underwhelming.

Full insurance on a manual should about do it.

How did I miss this? You’ve inspired me to livery my roomba

Me too. I traded mine in for a BRZ, and while I love the slow slippery subie, I really loved that IS300 and wish I had kept it too.

I would. I actually wish Mazda would drop their rotary pipe dream and put what (relatively) meager resources they have into this type of thing. Their cars are gorgeous, and I want a RWD Mazda with around 300 HP. Even if it looked exactly like the 6.

Yeah, but will it blend?

Remember when ALMS was the big show, and ACO wanted their own international series so bad that they got the FIA to make it a championship?

Because when you read “Gran Turismo” you think of this.

I think he’s referring to the fact they put gumball michelins on it. The base BRZ is as slippery as it is slow, which is a fine compromise for me (I bought one for Los Angeles commuting (and occasional sidewaysing)) but adding that much more grip would take a lot of the fun out of the once-in-a-blue-moon empty

Is that really the reason JMSDF flies the war flag?

Or dress it down

You can dress it up?

Completed impractical? I can get AT LEAST 2 completely full grocery bags AND a 20oz drink in the trunk.

Agreed, the girlfriend and I recently test drove one, (not the Crosstrek, but the Impreza) and the CVT is as awful as you’d expect. The 5 speed manual is notchy and rubbery and takes all of the fun out of rowing your own gears. Engine is too weak to move the otherwise pleasant car out of its own way. I’m surprised to

Yaw’ll got me rolling with the jokes!

Oh man, this could have been so great with better delivery.

Shots fired.
