Construction is a sticky one too because there are a lot of homeowners out there getting work done who don’t have experience with construction (hence the whole hiring a contractor). Just because something isn’t done the way you expected it to be done doesn’t mean the contractor did it wrong.

I think i would’ve threatened to post an additional review of how they harassed you. That seems like it would have shut them up.

I disagree with this assessment. There is a difference between taking to the internet to intentionally harm the business’s reputation and taking to the internet to provide an honest accounting of a transaction.
