It’s a shame that the Indian studios lost their first big game. It’s rare for Ubi’s Asian studios to get top billing for *anything*, since they’re usually used as asset/side quest farms for games headed by other studios (Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, etc). A big IP like this could have been a great way to get the

Thank you

Why did they feel like holding onto these IPs?

Yes, yes and yes. Deus Ex deserves to have the loop closed. HR and MD were flawed and didn’t reach the potential of the original by a long shot, but they were still absolutely excellent games in their own right.

Also, and I know I’m pretty alone here, but I didn’t hate Thief 2014. It wasn’t stellar, all the previous

Seriously. We should be drowning in deus ex games.

I can’t help but think the sale is nothing but good news for DX.  At least the IP might be used now.

I’m all for more Elias Toufexis, he just has such a unique voice. Immortals threw me off because of the accent, but when I came across him in both The Expanse and Horizon my immediate reaction was “Holy shit, that’s Adam Jensen!”

I think we’re running into the reality that live service games are wildly difficult to manage without running your staff into the ground. Sure, Warzone and Fortnite do it but they also crunch like mad. If this is the pace that’s viable out of a healthy work environment, awesome.

If 400 people can’t put out more than 2 maps in a year, then there’s something way broken beyond crunch culture.
Infinite had at least 2 death marches (probably 3) in addition to 343's general crunch culture, and now they’re playing the team health card? Feels pretty disingenuous.
As the fans wise up and realize that

Surely part of the problem here is that 343 is breaking all of their own pledges for this game. They’ve doubled the length of content “seasons” to what it was already, which has seen player counts plummet from the data we have, all the while increasing how long it’s going to be for promised features to arrive. What

The problem I think is the optics from the player community. Everything we know from the games development up until they delayed it a year was that it had become a mismanaged shitshow. Now they are trying to fix those foundational issues and that requires time outside of the development of the game itself to fix.

This article doesn’t discuss the stupidest part of all this:

The Digital Deluxe Edition is five dollars more than the regular version.

Sonic Mania was all sonic fan service and it was super well received and the message they got from that is, we can make menu animation DLC. Yup.

“The last thing I want, as a mom, is for my past to be brought up twenty years later. ”

I’m willing to put down some solid money on someone who is involved with the production of this show being the creator of this “Experience” OR at the very least they found out about it and nudged the kid toward finding it, specifically to manufacture this piece of drama for the show.

I pray Arkane and 343 never collaborate on anything.

Patching out things that players were using to have fun. They truly have become Bungie’s successor.

You know that really fun thing? That’s unintentional.
