“Why this occurred to them now, and not ten years ago when games like Ghosts had already begun to disappoint, eludes me but whatever”

Not just that specific one. There’s tons of similar takes on the theme on Adobe’s stock image site via a “SF hexagon” search. Small sample:

Not as hard as I was when Final Fantasy 15 finally dropped and I got to showboat to everyone who said I was wrong about it being nearly completed and was going to be an empty, boring mess of a game.

There’s still a piece of me on the ceiling from that...

I had this conversation some point last year when it started trickling out about the issues and compiled a log chart to somewhat judge where the issues were stemming and it seemed at the time to be overwhelmingly related to disc-based versions, the PS4 of most note, but the sample size was so small in relation to Xbox

Ah yes, the readily available PS5. The solution is to buy hardware that can play the software because the hardware that supposed to already play the software doesn’t work due to the software itself. Perfect solution.

It’s all so silly. Builds and stats, customization and housing, dialogue choices and mission solution options, side quests, transportation, interactable npc’s, weapon and player modification, multiple backstory options and multiple endings, and...I could go on. Just because it doesn’t have ‘enough’ of the things some

Most RPGs don’t have emergent gameplay. They’re filled with skill checks and solutions specifically designed by the developers. It sounds more like you’re describing an immersive sim. CP certainly isn’t as open-ended as the original Deus Ex but it provides enough player agency to warrant RPG classification, especially

Toughen up a bit men”

I’m 6' and I don’t have any problem with her being fired. I can’t pretend to comprehend the cultural implications of the slang she used, but you can say “I prefer tall men” without saying “Short men aren’t humans and should have surgery to fix their defect”. Replace tall/short with any other immutable identifier about

I think a person is being inappropriate anytime they suggest that someone is lesser because of a physical feature, and say they should get painful surgery to fix the supposed deficiency. That goes for the comments here, as well as the (far more common) comments women get about their physical features.

The singer from weezer had it. One of his legs was shorter than the other and when they made it big after their first album he had the surgery. The recovery sounded pretty horrifying.

Flip it around, a guy saying women with smaller breasts than a c cup have no human rights. How well would that go?

It’s real, basically they just cut the bone and hold the pieces in place while it slowly regrows and fills in the gap, but much like stuff like “penis enlargement surgery” it’s more of a thing to fix a specific medical issue such as uneven limb growth and not some magic medicine to just make someone larger all around.

Basically, I blame the people who pushed this out the door to hit a release schedule a lot more than I blame the people who worked through a pandemic to actually make it.

A reminder that Control is the best SCP game out there.

No Man’s Sky has become the Star Citizen the people who have wasted thousands of dollars on that scam wish it would be

You're equating videogames with toys. Ernekid is equating  videogames with art - as they should be. Hence, preservation. And no, they aren't overreacting. Not in the slightest!

So Nintendo. How these guys got their ‘untouchable’ status is beyond me.

Piracy is now the only realistic way to maintain video game archival preservation because it is obvious that the Video Games publishers couldn’t give a shit about it.

Nintendo purposely ended Virtual Console so that your purchases do not transfer over. They locked everything behind a sub to Switch Online, where you can’t buy/download any of the games, just rent.
