My point is that like so many you seem to think that it is angry white who are ruining the tranquility of your nation, when in actual fact it is often those minorities who are perceived by many to be nothing but victims of prejudice who are doing the “ruining”. And I’m not excusing what happened in Minnesota, but

But as an American, a lifelong Jalop, a city-dweller (NYC) and a white guy who is sick of how white supremacy, intolerance and basic white indifference to the humanity and experience of POC is destroying the beauty and tranquility of our beloved and diverse nation”

Yeah, OK I just wonder how he would feel if it came to his neighborhood and burned his house down.

I could think of nothing better than to destroy the life works of people’s small businesses...all for...well I guess we havent gotten to that part yet.

This car is too uncanny valley for me. It almost looks like something... that I can’t recall. It’s almost good looking but almost weird looking too. In pictures it doesn’t look like a real vehicle. More like a grey market knockoff.

The car is ugly. It looks like someone took a Mercedes and then immediately went to PepBoys to install fake chrome vents and other little bits of unnecessary stuff.

Is it free and packed with hand sanitizer?

In China you definitely get what you pay for from a manufacturing standpoint. You want a 50 cent wrench, they will make you a 50 cent wrench. You want a lifetime warranty professional wrench that is 98% as good as Snap On, they can do that too. It will just cost more and you will need a great Quality Assurance

I think we’re going to see a bottom-up electrification; local delivery vehicles (thanks, Amazon), regional trucking, construction, and finally long-haul trucking.

Came to add the same question. Apparently peak oil is now synonymous with peak buggy whip?

It happened around the time they realized that advances in extraction were actually outpacing rise in demand, and that peak oil supply was probably more than 100 years away.

So when did “peak oil” get flipped to mean peak demand? It started out meaning, more or less, peak supply, in the sense that discovery of new oilfields falls behind the depletion of known, economically and practically exploitable reserves. It’s a most significant distinction.

buying a used ferrari from a mitsubishi lot seems like quite the gamble!

Those are sucker prices for sure.

For those of you holding out hope that there will eventually be incentives for these, our hairdresser just bought one...in the middle of a global pandemic...when people literally cannot legally get their hair cut.

Yessenia’s negativity is contagious.

Because in both vehicles you will be sitting in New York traffic getting 0 mpg, so get the one that hunts down pedestrians.

I’ve noticed the same thing, unless it’s a 10 year old hatchback or compact single cab pick-up, they seem to hate the auto industry.

This. I really wish David or Andrew were writing all the content here. They seem to be the only balanced automotive viewpoints of the writing staff. Its like everyone else hates cars or car culture. I have always loved Jalopnik for its irreverence and counter culture attitude, but it seems like most of the writers

My wagon is cool.  So is the murdered out, all black chrysler minivan one of my neighbors has.
