Torch, you should write a book. Nobody else on the wild wild internet covers automobile history in as fun a way as you. And you're not afraid to dig up the really good gems.

I know your name now! The illusion has been ruined. CP.

You say that like it was a bad experience, yet your avatar is a SAAB logo?

This is a cool idea.

One of these:

Work is done. The kids are (hopefully) out of the house. Now it's just you and the wife (or husband), and possibly your dog, Winks (your dog will be named Winks). What's the car to buy?

On this day in 1960, the German government passes the "Law Concerning the Transfer of the Share Rights in Volkswagenwerk Limited Liability Company into Private Hands," known informally as the "Volkswagen Law."

That's where the sticker comes in.

You don't want that anyways. That's a project if I've ever seen one. The cancer won't take long to spread, especially if it's already in the frame. CP.

You have to challenge the hiring manager to a race and beat him/her.

Okay, I concede, liftback>enclosed trunk.

This looks like Forza.

As a longtime Mustang non-fan (antifan? disliker?) I've gotta say, this new one looks sweet. And with a turbo 4 and hopefully better handling body it wouldn't look too out of place in my driveway.

Forgive my lack of knowledge of the European car market, but all I see is this. I'd be happy to be shown some cooler stuff they made but a cheaper version of a Jetta doesn't really do it for me.

At the same time BMW is seducing Toyota with their sweet, sweet straight sixes and electric go-boxes to get Japan in on it as well.

I bet you're a joy at parties. I get what your saying about a personal touch and all that, but the world doesn't work like that anymore. People don't want a personal touch. They want to sit on their couch and get their Dorito fingers on their phone/tablet/iDevice of the week and pick out the car with the pretties

Looks like a Jetta. Enlighten me, how is Skoda different from VW?

So what do we have here? The UAW did reject the union and Tennessee did get the SUV. Eventually. Also, VW waited until after the UAW announcement saying they were coming back to announce the return of the SUV.

I would be interested in reading about the history of bikes and biking culture. Especially the weird stuff, kinda like what Torch writes about cars minus two wheels. Also cool would be NPoCP style stuff or a Jalop sponsored Craigslist fixer upper bike and the adventures that ensue from it.

An Acura around or below $20k? I don't see that happening, not at that price point at least. I think they could have a good A3, GLA competitor with a properly done-up Integra or whatever they want to call it. Hell even the ILX would work if they made it more "sporty".
