The thing that makes CONCACAF qualifying a joke (for me) is the way it carefully funnels the teams through multiple rounds, essentially assuring that the biggest guns will win through attrition. The one-and-done, randomly-assigned groups of Europe, Africa, and Asia certainly provide more suspense and surprises.

Yoshi’s Island DS is pretty good. Oddly, Topsy-Turvy, New Island, Woolly World, and this new game all seem to take their aesthetic cue from the unremarkable, largely disliked Yoshi’s Story.

I remember it being more like one hour per colossus, on average.

As a big fan of futuristic, armored first-person shooters, I take comfort in how identical they all are. Kudos to Bioware for breaking into this generic—yet comfortable—market.
