Man, I love people who self-own through being hilariously inept. You know, pumpkin thieves, thin-skinned vulture capitalist owners of blog sites, those kinds of folks.

Can you guys ask the venture capitalists to make articles take up less space? It’s kind of hard for me to watch both of the “recent videos” that started playing in two separate places when I’ve got four or five lines of text distracting me.

Why pay QBs $500K? Spread the wealth around to the other players. It’s secondary league/offseason football. Nobody is watching the XFL because of the QBs who can’t make 3rd string NFL practice squads.

How the hell does this not get a mention in a deep-dive article about this kid’s life?  I read that whole article expecting there to be some “oh shit the religious people had bad motives or the religious people were as crazy as you thought they were” angle, it never came, and then this.  Cmon, Matt, you didn’t even

I know the article is primarily about the kid falling off the face of the earth. But this somewhat recent allegation could help paint the crazy religious, secretive lifestyle they’ve always maintained.

This is a weird thing not to even mention in passing in the article. Seems kind of... relevant to his life?

Been a big fan of EDD’s since I learned who she was: the day she left UConn for Delaware before her freshman year of college. She is such an amazingly talented athlete. Congrats EDD and the Mystics!

It sort of reminds me of when I would shut myself into my room as a kid and when I’d finally emerge to join the family, my mother would just have to say some mocking variation of “oh, look who decided to finally join us...”

- someone has an opinion
- person gets new information challenging that opinion
- person, after some thought, adjusts opinion incorporating this new information
- person has learned something and grown!

isn’t this what we all want? doesn’t it seem ludicrous after witnessing this to then attack that person for having the

Hot take: Jameela, the folks on twitter responding to her who apparently just discovered that not everyone in the world grew up caring about American politics, and the man named Albert who wrote nearly 1,000 words about people being able to log off, should all log off for the day.

Eh, posting things to a locked, private social media account restricted to trusted friends and family is not meaningfully different from sending an email to a private mailing list, or just talking to a group of close associates around a dinner table. It’s fine to expect those people to keep what they hear private, and
