It's a mixed bag. Being gay myself, I wasn't particularly offended that they didn't include the option, but i can see how some of the more militant lgbt community would take issue with it. personally, i'd prefer that we got to that point naturally, but unfortunately in this world that doesn't happen very often.

Sometimes companies ask reviewers only to use image and footage they provide, rather than capturing your own, at least up until release. Nintendo does this sometimes. Not sure if that was the case here.

Yes, you are right, people never change. I saw this happen more than once (thank the helix fossil it didn't affect me, but other people). A cheater is always a cheater. The moment your relationship with her/him gets a bit shaky she'll/he'll go and do other people.
