What they really need is a service like “Does the Dog Die,” only to tell me if the dog is immortal. The change to an immortal Dogmeat in the later Fallout games might have been the best improvement in the whole series.

I’m going to Disneyland!

Wait, so this isn’t appropriate anymore?

I read somewhere that the whole contagious yawning thing might be helpful for syching up body clocks in small groups, so a Dunbar’s Number sized tribe would tend to want to stay basically in rhythm with one another, but I can’t remember the source or how long ago this was, so that could be absolute bullsh*t. So yeah,

Spiralizer makes it worth it for the wife and me alone. That is before you get into the other 30 things we use it for regularly.

Need, no. Love, YES!

For the record, to everyone who is complaining about his use of the fork, those pans aren’t cheapo teflon, they are Le Creuset pans which are WAY tougher. I cook omelettes like that maybe four times a week for a couple of people, and my pan is probably in year 10. It still looks maybe 99% as good as the day I bought

I feel like a lot of people’s opinion on this would differ from mine, but I’m not sure I’d consider this an omelette. It looks really really good, but like you said, it’s more of scrambled eggs wrapped in a veneer. It reminds me of a local pizza place we have where they make this sort of monsterous uneven cooking

I grew up solidly privileged: straight, white, male, cis etc etc, so I’ve got no room to tell anyone in this situation what to do. I’m not giving advice here, just making a personal request.

That is an AWESOME parallel! Lots of autistic people gain greatly from their autism. They get a different way of thinking (something a lot of us would love), a different way of approaching problems, aptitudes towards different skill sets. Of course there are struggles, but that’s not what a movement like Deaf Gain is

Two more quick clarifications”

Haha, LOVE all the ruffled feathers. I’m not going to address all the MAGA hat wearing hate in the comments, but for the people who are actually becomming deaf or HOH themselves, this is something that is being pushed within the culturally deaf community, not by every single person who can’t hear. I do encourage you

Just a heads up. “Hearing loss,” isn’t really the preferred term these days since it implies a deficiency. There is actually a whole movement built around reframing the idea as “Deaf Gain.”

A lot of fair criticisms being made here, no doubt, but I’m not sure it’s fair to knock them for not doing more with the victims. The series wasn’t about them. It was about Bundy. The complexities of his victims and who they were as people wasn’t really the point. Also, from a sheer numbers standpoint, it would have

Haha, it’s ok. It’s one of those things that seems super weird until it clicks. My wife is an extremely smart woman and it took her a while, and me getting out a chart online, to make it make sense to her. It just feels counterintuitive.

Not the same, but vaguely related anecdote. My grandfather was super old school and put a lot of stock in “first born,” and “carrying on the family name.” So, as the first born male I regularly got extra of whatever we were getting. He gave me and my little brother’s savings bonds one year and I got five times what my

Interesting. I’ll admit to having skimmed. I find this stuff interesting, but have no kids so my investment is low.

Crap, didn’t even see the original comment, but have a star for being the mythical commenter who can use the words “I was wrong.” Zero sarcasm here, it honestly brightened my morning.
