The Grateful Dead always leaves me cold (many unfortunate experiences with unbearable hippie wannabes in college in the 90s). But the first time I saw this episode and saw that scene, Lindsay made me understand what that music means to so many people. I love your description "goofy, angelic." Exactly.

This is exactly why it kills me when musical artists refuse to share their works with other artists (movie-makers, etc.) - once it's out there, we need to be able to incorporate these pieces of music into movies/TV shows, because they serve as the soundtrack for our lives.  It's so damned selfish.
