So I made a Reddit thread about this and tweeted Amazon support with pictures in addition to filing a customer service complaint. They refunded me the full amount plus tax, so I ended up getting the whole thing for free. Not a bad outcome, even if it is damaged.

Oh right, I forgot: they’ve also boosted up the price of Amazon Prime to $120,000/year.

You’d be surprised. Amazon is remarkably relaxed when it comes to customer service. I had them send me a new stick of memory outside of the return date because the one I had died. Then when I couldn’t ship it back, they told me to just discard it.

What, you haven’t heard? Amazon is now shipping packages via supersonic jets.
